What Are You Looking For?

Whatever we see, it is important to remember that we don’t see everything. And it is very true that there is more than just what meets the eye. Most of us, tend to think of ourselves as human beings, when in reality we are so much more. We are spiritual beings made in the image of our Creator God. We are made in love, by love and for love. We cannot see the total picture of our life, because it is continually unfolding and revealing itself in miraculous and unexplainable ways.

Part of what confuses us about life is that we tend to focus on what is happening outside of ourselves and miss what is happening inside of ourselves and inside is where the real art of living, growing and developing is taking place.

“The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.” -1 Corinthians 2:14

When we learn to let the inside determine the outside, rather than allowing the outside to influence the inside, we begin to live at the higher place we were created for. Our senses see, hear, feel taste and smell, allowing us to experience all that life has to offer and then some. This is what we were created for.

We have the power to choose the eyes that we see with. If we only see with our human eyes, then we will tend to focus on darkness and in that dimness, we miss out on the better things. If we choose to see with our spiritual eyes, then we experience illumination, which allows us to see the hidden things and understand the unexplainable.

Choose love and light, you will be glad you did…

Three Big “C” Enemies!

There are lots of different enemies that work to pull us of off track, away from our goals and out of the blessed life, but three of the biggest and most detremental are: Criticism, Condemnation and Complaining.

Criticism, condemnation and complaining is disapproval of someone or something based on the perception of faults are mistakes. They work against us in a couple of different ways. There is the criticism, condemnation and complaining that comes from others and is expressed toward us and this can impact us in a very negative way, especially if taken in the wrong way. And there is also criticism, condemnation and complaining which comes from ourself and is expressed toward others, which can distract us from what really matters and hurt our ability to work as a team with others for everyone’s blessing and success.

Criticism, condemnation and complaining can be productive and positive or destructive and negative based on how it is delivered and received. The key to overcoming The Big “C” enemies is learning to deliver and receive in a constructive way, with the goal of making things better and more effective. The problem is that most people in the world today are often selfish and ego driven and use the Big “C” enemies to tear up and tear down, rather than build up and make better.

“Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.” -Galatians 6:1

You cannot decide for anyone else, but you can decide for yourself. So here are a few tips to help you overcome the Big “C” enemies in the giving and the receiving:

1. Ask Yourself The Important Questions: 1.) Is it true? 2.) Does it matter? 3.) What difference does it make? To gain real clarity ask and answer this question honestly: What will this matter a year, 5 years, 100 years from now???

2. Learn what you need to learn about yourself and about others. Allow the Big “C” enemies to open your eyes, ears and heart to what is going on around you and you will be better equipped to handle whatever life decides to throw your way. Remember: That which does not kill you, makes you stronger!

3. Do your best to cut the Big “C” enemies out of your life as far as it depends on you. What good does it do you to criticize, condemn or complain about someone else? If you are honest with yourself, then it might give you a good feeling, but that good feeling is only temporary and doesn’t do anything to really lift us up to a better place, but it can do a lot to push us and others down. If there is a problem, confront it in an honest, up front and meaningful way – with the goal of making things better for all involved and don’t wait, do it when it needs to be done, so everyone can move on to better as soon as possible. If someone criticizies, condemns or complains about you, then be honest with yourself about it’s legitimacy or illegitimacy, learn what you need to learn and move on.

The Big “C” enemies are ugly, but not really all that powerful, unless and until we make them that way. So fight the good fight, learn, grow and overcome. You will be glad you did…

Open Yourself To Love!

There are times in life when we are afraid to love, because we think it might make us vunerable to manaipulation and/or open us to the danger of having our life screwed up in some way. This fear is the exact opposite of what love is all about. It is in our receiving and sharing of love that our created purpose is fulfilled and our life is opened up for blessings and growth.

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” -1 John 4:18

By throwing open the doors, opening the windows and tearing down the self errected walls of our lives, we make ourselves available to really living. Anything less is a lie, a watered down version of the truth we were created in and for. The objective of this human experience is to discover our true self and reveal that self to others so they may experience blessings and grow along side of us.

A seed grows best in tender soil, so we need to take on and take out the hardness that is caused by the constant misfeeding of our ego. Often in our effort to defend ourselves, we reveal our real weakness and open our life to the attacks that can take us down and out, if not dealt with properly.

Strength that is controlled, directed and focused is greater than strength that is unbridled, wild and distracted. We have unlimited supernatural power, but we limit often thend to limit it with our unbelief, lack of discipline and unwillingness to control our thoughts.

Identify and begin to remove the walls you have errected for your protection, because they are doing more harm than good. Get rid of the barriers that get in the way of the free flow of love into and out of your life. Take on and take out fear and any sources that feed and grow it in your day to day operations. Open your heart, mind and life to give and receive, just as your Creator God gives and receives.

When you open yourself to receive God and His love, God and His love fill you to overflowing with the supernatural power and unlimited blessing of creation, which grows real peace in all that you do…
